Best Florida Hotel Pools: Cocoa Beach
Cocoa Beach is a great family-friendly destination in Florida. Only an hour east of Orlando, Cocoa Beach is home to the Kennedy Space Center. Of course, it makes sense that Cocoa Beach is part of the space coast of Florida.
Cocoa Beach also has one of the best hotels for kids in Florida at the Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort. In addition to being one of the Florida hotels with lazy rivers, there are two other pool areas, including a dedicated kids’ splash area.
Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort
“Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort has the perfect pool setup for families. The entire center of the resort is split up into three different water features.
There is a regular swimming pool surrounded by lounge chairs, games, grills, a jacuzzi, and a tiki bar.
Then there is a splash pad for the kids in the middle. The splash pad has several lounge areas around it where you can stay dry and still see the kids.
Finally, on the side closest to the beach, there is a lazy river with inner tubes where you can relax all your worries away. If you want a beach vacation but also enjoy relaxing in a pool, check out Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort for a perfect summer getaway!”

Best Florida Hotel Pools: Florida Keys
Seconded by another travel-loving family, Hawks Cay Resort has appeared before in our list of favourite Florida Keys hotels for families. Depending on if you want a villa option or if you have younger children who want a dedicated family pool, one of these two Florida Keys resorts for kids will be perfect for you.
Hawks Cay Resort in Duck Key
Located on a small island in the Florida Keys between Miami and Key West, Hawks Cay Resort is one of the best Florida Keys resorts for kids. We stayed at the hotel but there are also villas you can rent if you would like kitchen facilities.
With five pools at Hawks Cay, you will spoiled for choice. There are several resort pools as well as an adults-only pool and a children’s pool area based around a pirate ship theme. At the main resort pool, in the evenings, the hotel sets up a fire pit and movies by the pool. While strictly not a pool, there’s also a saltwater lagoon where you can snorkel and SUP.

Casa Marina Resort
Casa Marina is a luxury landmark hotel listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The resort has two swimming pools and is located on a private beach.
Among the Florida Keys hotels for families, we like this hotel because it is located in Key West near the nightlife and restaurants. Suitable for families with older children there are a lot of water activities available like scuba diving and snorkelling.

Best Hotel Pools Miami
A tourist hotspot like Miami would, of course, have some of the best hotel pools in South Florida. The Fontainebleau, the Four Seasons and the Casa Casuarina all have great Miami beach hotel pools.
Fontainebleau
The Fontainebleau has 8 resort pools and adding to the luxury are plenty of cabanas to hire as well as large day beds. The Fontainebleau is surprisingly family friendly for a hotel that wallows in its artsy cool.
In addition to the resort pools (one of which is shaped like a bowtie), there is a family pool with a shallow water area and a waterslide. The Fontainebleau is big on private cabana hire so there are plenty of those scattered around as well. Unlike many of the other Miami beach hotel pools, the Fontainebleau also has a beach with waiter service.
With music and cocktails, the adult pool offers the ultimate Miami pool party experience on weekends from noon through the evening. It’s a prelude to the clubs, bars and lounges that are an integral part of the Fontainebleau resort and nightlife scene.

Four Seasons Miami Beach
One of the best hotel pools in Florida is located on the 7th floor of the Four Seasons Miami Beach which is located in one of the tallest buildings in the city. Among the best hotel pools in Miami, it is perfect for an urban pool experience.
There is a two acre pool area which includes a resort pool, a kids pool and a Palm tree lined area with hammocks where you can swing in the shade of the Florida sun. It really is the ultimate in rooftop pools! Although the pool is not beachside like so many Florida hotel pools, these Miami beach hotel pools are gorgeous and have waiter service.

Villa Casa Casuarina (the former Versace Mansion)
“Arguably the most famous pool in Miami is the mosaic masterpiece by Gianni Versace at the former Versace Mansion. Only guests of Villa Casa Casuarina are able to swim in it, but you can get a peek if you make reservations at the restaurant.
The pool is made of thousands of 24-karat gold tiles and was actually made in Italy where it was broken down, shipped, and then reassembled in Miami. It is definitely one of the most unique pools to see in Florida.”

Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts
With four theme parks and two water parks on property, how could a hotel pool at a Walt Disney World compare? Stormalong Bay, the pool complex shared by the Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts is one of our favorite spots on property. It includes a water slide, lazy river, and a sandy-bottom pool.
The pool is open to adults and kids and is definitely worth visiting. You will need to be staying at one of the two resorts to enjoy it.

Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
This resort is now an official Walt Disney World Hotel and our favorite when we visit Orlando.
The heart of this magical resort is the 3-acre pool area complete with a lazy river that winds through a lush tropical landscape that is only enhanced by the nearly year-round Floridian sunshine.
The resort’s family-friendly pool has features that all ages will love such as the zero-entry pool and cabanas decked out with all amenities imaginable such as refreshments, HD-flat screen tv’s and even a ceiling fan.
For the thrill seekers, plunging down the twisty water slide will surely bring a smile and definitely lots of giggles. The water is absolutely refreshing year-round and there are daily arts and crafts offered poolside as well as nightly movies.
With so many amenities this hotel will be hard to leave, so be sure to schedule time to enjoy Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.

Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Villas
Tucked away behind Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, Kidani Village is a quiet low key resort area. These villas are intended to be your home away from home.
The pool area is designed to accommodate every age (the young and young at heart). But also be in one general area, so that the entire family can enjoy the fun together.
There are two slides that drop you off into the large main pool. One slide is especially for kids and the other is for both kids and adults.
Adjacent to that, is the splash pad or water playground area which has three distinct areas for kids. In one corner, is the mini playground and pool for the smaller tykes. Next to that is a leaky tower ready to wet whoever passes. At the end, is a waterfall area complete with water cannons and a slide.

Port Orleans French Quarter Resort
Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort is one of the most charming places to stay when you’re visiting Orlando, Florida. And one of the best features of Port Orleans French Quarter is the Doubloon Lagoon pool. This pool has tons of equipment kids will love, from a slide shaped like a sea serpent to clam shell jets. There’s even a kids only Aquatic Play Area just next to the main pool. But the Doubloon Lagoon has two more adult-friendly features: a jacuzzi and a bar called Mardi Grogs. Wilderness Lodge Resort
Florida is home to some beautiful swimming pools. But my favorite swimming pool in Florida doesn’t have swaying palm trees surrounding it, nor does it have ocean views or beaches nearby. My favorite swimming pool in Florida is actually at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. This deluxe resort at Disney is designed to look like those iconic National Park Lodges (like Old Faithful Lodge at Yellowstone).
Being fans of Disney, we know that there are so many fun things to do at Disney World for adults. That’s one of the reason’s we enjoy visiting it so much. Not only is this resort stunning overall, but the outdoor pool area really is a favorite.
There is a stream that begins inside the hotel lobby, and continues outside. You can wander along the walkways next to the stream until it crashes over boulders in a waterfall and flows directly into the swimming pool. This is a family pool area, but I still love it because the calming sound of the waterfalls blocks out most noise transports you into a place of tranquility.

Four Seasons Orlando
You can add the Four Seasons Orlando to the list of Florida hotels with waterslides and lazy rivers.
The Fours Seasons Orlando has a two acre water park with a zero entry family pool, splash pad, waterslides and a lazy river. They put on movie nights at the family pool. One of the hotels with lazy rivers in Orlando, you have the usual waterfalls, jet sprays and gentle rapids. The splash pad area is very cool and created like a crumbling mansion.
There is also a quieter adults only pool. If you pick a park view room, then you can watch the nightly fireworks over Disney without having to stay in the park.

Best Hotel Pools Orlando (Non-Disney)
Even if you skip Disney, there’s so many many things to do in Orlando Florida. My kids adore Universal Orlando primarily because they are big Harry Potter fans as well as lovers of waterparks. Some of the best pools in Orlando hotels are located near Universal Orlando. Of course, when you have Florida hotels with waterslides and lazy river, who needs a theme park? Just kidding. We can never have enough water fun and these are our choice for the best resorts for kids in Orlando.
Hard Rock Hotel Orlando
We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for its early access to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Although it also has early access to Volcano Bay, we switched over to the Cabana Bay Resort for easier access.
The Hard Rock Hotel has a enormous pool area with a kids play area as well as a water slide. My kids really enjoyed the speakers built into the pool so you can listen to music underwater. Poolside activities include hula hoop contests and ping pong tournaments.

Cabana Bay Beach Resort
The Universal Cabana Bay Resort is one of the many Universal hotels that are operated by the Loews hotel chain. We loved the easy access from Cabana Bay Resort to Volcano Bay, easily one of the best theme parks we have ever visited. If you stay at Cabana Bay Resort, you get early access to both the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Volcano Bay.
Cabana Bay Beach Resort has two pool area separated by hotel buildings. The Cabana pool has a zero entry pool and waterslide and splash pad. The Grove Resort & Spa
Just six miles from Walt Disney World, it’s easy to see why The Grove Resort & Spa is one of the best-kept secrets.
It’s close, but not too close, and it’s got an incredible on-site water park called Surfari Water Park.
Here you’ll find a lazy river, dual water slides and private cabanas. The family pool is massive. It’s also zero-entry, making it easy for littles to ease in.
A dedicated children’s pool features three colorful kid-sized slides, as well as spraying water features and water cannons. It’s easy to laze all day here.

Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites
Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Orlando has one of the best pools in the state of Florida. It’s not just a pool — it’s an entire water park experience. Water fun definitely counts as among the best things to do in Orlando besides theme parks!
Guest can scale one of the seven water slides, swim the length of the Olympic sized pool, or wade in the zero-depth pool under the 400-gallon dump tank. There is also a separate splash pad just for the little ones.
If that isn’t enough, the on-duty staff – aptly named the Fun Squad- plan poolside activities like live DJ parties and competitions throughout the day to amplify the fun.

Best Florida Hotel Pools: Naples
We’ve been to Naples Florida many times because it is a firm favourite of the English side of the family. When they were toddlers, our daughter was terrified of pools and our son couldn’t get enough of waterslides. With its great sand beaches and resorts with water slides in Florida, Naples ticked a lot of boxes for our vacation needs.
Hyatt Coconut Point
In terms of resorts with water slides in Florida, the Hyatt Coconut Point really does exceed expectations. For the thing, the Hyatt Coconut Point is two resorts. There is the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point and next door the Hyatt Residence Club, Coconut Plantation. No, not confusing at all. We have been to both.
Both are Florida hotels with waterslides and lazy rivers so plentiful as to be water parks themselves. Having been through enough Florida resorts with lazy river, my kids pronounced the Hyatt Coconut Plantation lazy river the best lazy river in Florida. Sure they both had whirlpools, waterfalls etc but the Coconut Plantation lazy river had less wildlife (lizards and frogs) and less fallen leaves. You know life is good when you are able to make an educated choice among the hotels with lazy river in Florida!
If you are looking for a hotel with lazy rivers in Florida, the Hyatt is a great choice. Even though there were so many waterslides at these properties, we spent most of our time drifting along on the lazy rivers.

Inn on Fifth Avenue
The Inn on Fifth Avenue has a rooftop pool and jacuzzi area. Although small by Florida standards, the location of this hotel in the middle of all that Naples has to offer in terms of shopping and dining make us want to include this pool.
We would say the pool at the Inn on Fifth Avenue is best for older children and adults. We noticed some other families with teens at the pool area which has a fire pit as well. There really isn’t enough room for young children to run around.

Naples Grande
The Naples Grande was a perfect choice when our kids were toddlers. The family pool has both a zero-depth entry for our daughter who refused to go in past her toes and a waterslide for our adrenaline junkie son. As parents we just stayed in the middle area keeping an eye on both of them.
There is also a restaurant on site and an adults-only pool which channels Miami cool. It was only on a recent trip that we made it to the adults-only pool which has great sunbeds and loungers.
There is also a walkway through a mangrove forest to the beach. The beach is lovely but it isn’t exactly watefront.

The Ritz Carlton Naples
The Ritz Carlton Naples is great for a multi-generational holiday. Older adults may like the quiet of an adult pool but not necessarily the Miami chic of the Naples Grande adult pool.
There are several pools including a family pool, a children’s pool and an adults-only pool. There is a walkway to the beach bar/restaurant which also leads onto the beach. Unfortunately on our last visit (October 2019) the beach and the restaurant were affected by the Red Tide issue but recent reports say the algae bloom is dissipating.

Best Florida Hotel Pools: The Palm Beaches
The 39 communities that make up the Palm Beaches have been a playground pretty much since the time that Americans decided that Florida was the perfect antidote to a Northern winter. So it goes without saying that the Palm Beaches would have some of the best resort pools in Florida. Yet, the pool scene is more genteel and not looking for hotels with lazy river in Florida.
The Breakers Palm Beach
The Breakers is the local Grande Dame luxury hotel in Palm Beach dating back to 1926 when it was created to resemble the Villa Medici in room. Since this hotel wasn’t cheap, we decided to stay put and enjoy the hotel amenities to the fullest. It seems other people had the same idea because it was pretty crowded poolside.
The Beach Club at The Breakers is blessed with four pools, a restaurant and a beachside location. Among the family friendly pools are the main pool, an infinity pool and a zero-entry family pool. There are poolside activities for kids as well. Adjacent to the pool area is a private beach which has activities like scuba diving and snorkelling. Four Seasons Palm Beach
The Four Seasons Palm Beach resort also serves up old school elegance in a beach front setting and a sizeable pool area. There is a family pool as well as an adults-only pool. We think the Four Seasons Palm Beach has one of the best hotel pools in South Florida primarily for the extraordinary service and facilities.
It’s a back to basics approach that skips the wave pools and waterslides. The Four Seasons have a great kids club (although we never managed to convince our kids to go to a kids club).

Boca Beach Club
Unlike the more traditional European elegance of the Palm Beach hotels mentioned above, the Boca Beach Club feels fresher, younger and more relaxed.
The Boca Beach Club has three pools located fronting the beautiful private beach and ocean. The Boca Beach is very family-friendly. You can take a water taxi cross Lake Boca over to the rest of the resort which is more fun than taking the shuttle. You can easily visit the many restaurants in Boca as well so that you have freedom of dining choices too.
The Boca Beach Club is one of the three parts that make up the Boca Raton Resort & Club. In addition to the Beach Club, there is the stately Cloisters and the all-suites Yacht Club. Best Florida Hotel Pools: St. Petersburg Clearwater
St Petersburg Clearwater is a great area to visit in combination with Orlando which is only a couple of hours away. On the Gulf coast, you are guaranteed spectacular sunsets. Clearwater Beach is routinely named the best beach in the USA for its glorious white sand and family-friendly vibe.
Don CeSar
Having opened in 1928, the Don Cesar is another grand institution in South Florida. It is a member of the Historic Hotels of America. I confess we booked in here because it is reputedly haunted. Unfortunately, we saw no paranormal activity whatsover.
My children did, however, engage in lots of activities poolside. There are two pools and a cafe which front onto the beach. Every evening the hotel rings a gong when the sun sets. The sunsets, by the way are spectacular.
We would rate this hotel as having some of the best hotel pools for kids in Florida simply because there is so much to do in and around the pool area. Next door to one pool there are lots of game tables (table football, table tennis etc) and on the beach there is a giant chess set. When the kids can amuse themselves and let me snooze on a day bed, I consider it a successful pool day!
