Speakeasy Bar in Huntsville
Alabama was one of the first states to enact prohibition, and “Speakeasy culture” has a long and complicated history in these parts. Today it is no longer a dry state but the nostalgia surrounding a speakeasy is still alive and well.
Steeped in nuances from the 1920s, Catacomb 435 Speakeasy is owned by the same people who own the classy Purveyor restaurant nearby. Secret passwords and concealed entrances create the charm and authenticity of the place. The cool dark decor (and no photos allowed!) adds to the retro vibe and secretive nature the venue promotes.
You don’t have a drinks menu at Catacomb 435, but a list of preferences on what you would like to drink. Fill out the form and the expert mixologists will make a unique cocktail that’s tailored to your preferences. For example, when we were there the mixologist was making a keto diet-friendly cocktail for a patron. They don’t serve food … yet.
